Intern with Boulder Food Rescue and help drive an adaptive, fun, and powerful organization fighting for environmental and social injustice in Boulder, Colorado.
Our internship program trains young leaders to run and direct a volunteer-driven organization. Internships consist of developing projects, collaborating with our team of coordinators and staff, and, in short, being an essential link in the day-to-day operations of the organization. - Make a tangible impact: Interns play a crucial role in coordinating our daily and baseline operations, making it possible for us to rescue over 1,500 pounds of food every day and 3 million pounds of food to date! This food impacts 17,000 people annually.
- Facilitate Innovative Solutions: This program is an intern-driven experience that relies on the creativity of interns to address the issues of food waste and food insecurity in Boulder.
- Develop Leadership Capacity: Our internship team works together to create new projects, direct the organization, and ensure that everything is running smoothly. It is a collaborative experience that teaches young leaders to run a local organization and create a more sustainable community along the way.

We offer fall, spring, and summer unpaid internships. We require interns to commit at least 2 seasons, which loosely follow college semesters, to our internship program. (For example, interns might work with us for fall and spring, summer and fall, or spring and summer).
