We are rescuing more food than ever! We are not only improving our relationships with all of our grocery donors, but we are also in collaboration with Community Food Share, our local food bank. We are making sure that we are working together to do what we each do best. We pick up all of the more perishable fruits and vegetables and CFS redistributes the meats, dairies, and non-perishables. This way, we each are able to thrive in our work, and we are excited to have an amazing relationship with them.
We also have a new donor on board! Lucky’s opened up a new store in South Boulder, and before they even opened, the manager called us to make sure that we could set up a relationship. We are excited to be a part of this partnership and to have amazing donors like Lucky’s Market!
This year, we redistributed over 100,000 pounds of food more than we did last year, a 23% increase!
I hope you’ll take a few minutes to look at our full 2016 Annual Report.
