• March Data Report

In the 31 days of March we picked up 15,650 pounds of food, averaging
505 pounds per day.  This was all possible thanks to our 60 volunteers
doing 228 pickups last month. We were scheduled to do 98% of our trips
by bike, and ended up with a 91% monthly total, with 18 trips being
switched from bike or foot to car for various reasons (massive
pickups, crappy weather, ill volunteers, etc.)*.

This brings our grand total to 52,115 pounds!  That’s about equivalent to 80 dairy cows, 67 barrels of wine, or 10 of these ugly things:

*For comparison’s sake, in February we picked up 12,000 pounds, and
78% of it was by bike.
