How We Spend Money
We’re a small nonprofit and we get away with being thrifty and creative. Yet, we do have some expenses, which we fund mostly with donations from individuals. Our main expenses include the salary of our only paid staff member, bins (to store and transport food), maintenance of our bike trailers, and fund-raising and outreach materials. To get an idea of how a donation might be used:
- $12 will pay for a small bin to store/transport baked goods
- $40 will pay for a large bin to store/transport produce
- $150 will buy us a new bike trailer

Donate $50 and receive a one-of-a-kind tie-dyed BFR t-shirt. To get your t-shirt, mention it in the comment/dedication box when you make a Paypal donation (or in the memo field if you mail a check). We’ll need to know your size. We have women’s sizes in XS, S, and M, and men’s sizes in S, M, L, and XL.
Also, make sure to include your shipping address so we can ship it to you. Everything will be shipped USPS priority mail. International orders may require extra money to cover shipping, so please add $15 USD to cover that extra cost.
